Midwest CPR center offers instructor courses for qualified candidates in each of the disciplines we teach.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Who should take this course?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Qualified instructors will possess the 5 core competencies defined by the AHA:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The AHA has defined these 5 core competencies for all instructor candidates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skills: Instructors need to demonstrate mastery in all skills for the courses they teach. This includes both the cognitive skills as well as the psychomotor skills.<\/li>\n<li>Course delivery: Instructors need to teach AHA materials correctly and as outlined in the appropriate Instructor Manual and Lesson Maps.<\/li>\n<li>Testing: Instructors must be able to test students effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Professionalism: Instructors need to maintain a high standard of ethics and professionalism when teaching AHA courses. Program administration: Instructors need to be able to manage time, space, materials, and paperwork in compliance with AHA guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The steps are simple \u2013 get started today!\n<ol>\n<li>Be accepted by\u00a0 Ours or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ahainstructornetwork.americanheart.org\/AHAECC\/classConnector.jsp?pid=ahaecc.classconnector.home\">your local AHA Training Center<\/a>\u00a0before enrolling in an Instructor Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that Training Center.<\/li>\n<li>Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Heartsaver.<\/li>\n<li>Successfully complete the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course.<\/li>\n<li>Successfully be monitored teaching your first course within six months of completing the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course.
